Overview

The Department of Civil Engineering has started a new program, B.Tech. in Construction Technology and Management (CTM) from the year 2020. As we know that a multitude of tech advancements and innovations have made into the Indian Infrastructure and real estate sectors, which are likely to reshape the future of the construction industry. Time is of the essence for construction industry to meet the schedule they promised their customers. Engineering construction, certainly at the level of clients and engineering, procurement and construction is truly global Endeavour. Green construction is actually an eco friendly construction system which needs technical knowledge professionals. There is lot scarcity of trained professional to meet the demand of faster and efficient construction. The construction engineering is a rapidly increasing field and bound to have many opportunities for those interested.
As mentioned above CTM program is a multi-disciplinary stream of specialization focusing on development aspects, statutory requirements, legal framework, business environment, infrastructure, funds and finance, technology and marketing etc. A course in CTM prepares students for professional responsibilities that call for high proficiency in skills of information technology, people management, project finance, international markets – all with a special reference to infrastructure development projects and real estate projects. With the great vision, the department is committed to start CTM to prepare the student as industry ready professional person.
