Overview
The Mechanical Engineering program started way back in 2004. The Department has NBA Accreditation under Tier I in 2015 and re- Accreditation in 2018. The Department has faculty strength of 45 and 12 Technical Staff. 9 Doctorates provide good academic insights. Our strength is a reflection of their Skills, Innovation and Drive. The Department is very well equipped labs with computational facilities, resources both in terms of hardware and software with 150 computing systems. We have signed MOU’s with 36 reputed Core Companies which provide Major projects, Mini projects, Internship programs, Industrial Tours, Placements and Guest Lectures. We aim to provide our students with a perfect blend of intellectual and practical experiences that helps them to serve our society and address a variety of needs. Academic course work and projects are designed to endow students with the ability to apply knowledge of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering, and the capability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, providing leadership and technical expertise. The Department encourages students to become a member of Professional Chapters like ASME, IE(I), ISTE and ISHRAE and Technical Clubs. We also give Extensive training to all students in Value Added Courses & FOSS (organized by IIT Bombay) in addition to the regular curriculum. The Department takes pride in achievements of its alumni, who have shined in various walks of life.
