Kriya Passionate Events: The Powerhouse of Anurag University

KRIYA — The club that redefines campus life
If you've ever attended an event at Anurag University and thought "this was incredibly well put together" chances are, Kriya was behind it. Founded in 2019, Kriya Passionate Events has quietly become one of the most respected student-led event management clubs in Hyderabad, built entirely by students who refused to settle for ordinary.
From a Small Idea to Hyderabad's Biggest Stages
What started with a handful of passionate students has grown into a thriving community of 100+ individuals called Kriyators each one driven by the spirit of "Atithi Devo Bhava." Together they've shaped some of Anurag University's most memorable experiences, from Orientation Days and Synergy to Daksha and SportsBout. But Kriya's ambitions never stayed within the campus gates. The club has managed TEDx Hyderabad for four consecutive years, handled the Sakshi Excellence Awards for two years, and delivered at high-profile cultural and corporate events including Dharani-feet on earth, Bharata Uvaca, HUE, and Flea Fusion. High-stakes events where there's no room for error and Kriya showed up every single time.
What Being a Kriyator Actually Feels Like
Here's what most people don't know Kriyators are paid contributors, not just volunteers. In a student club setup, that's genuinely rare and it reflects exactly how seriously Kriya takes its people. Every event becomes a real-world classroom negotiating with vendors, managing timelines, handling clients, and making quick decisions when things don't go to plan.
A Launchpad, Not Just a Club
What truly sets Kriya apart is what it gives back to its people. Kriyators aren't just volunteers clocking in hours they are paid contributors whose work is genuinely valued, which in a student club setup is rare and says a lot. Every event becomes a masterclass in negotiation, client handling, time management, and leading under pressure. And the recognition hasn't gone unnoticed either Anurag University's Chairman Dr. Palla Rajeshwar Rao, former Telangana IT Minister Dr. KT Rama Rao, and Ms. YS Bharathi Reddy of Sakshi Group have all appreciated Kriya's work firsthand. That kind of acknowledgement, from people at that level, doesn't come easy. It comes from years of showing up, delivering, and refusing to settle for anything less than excellent. For students passionate about events, management, or simply being part of something that matters Kriya isn't just a club. It's where leaders are made.
