SABZEE: The Student Micro-Enterprise at Anurag University

SABZEE: Where Management Comes to Life
There's a group of students at Anurag University who don't just study business, they actually run one. Every week they're up early, heading to wholesale markets, negotiating prices on fresh vegetables, fruits, and grains, managing inventory, and delivering directly to customers. No simulations, no case studies just real transactions, real customers, and real consequences. That's SABZEE, and it's one of the most refreshingly human things happening in management education in Hyderabad right now.
From Classrooms to Wholesale Markets — Business the Real Way
SABZEE operates like an actual micro-enterprise not a university project dressed up to look like one. Students own every part of the cycle. Sourcing, pricing, packaging, logistics, customer interaction, and making quick decisions when things inevitably don't go to plan. The skills that come out of this are the ones employers talk about but rarely find negotiation, financial planning, inventory management, and the ability to think clearly under pressure. By the time a SABZEE student finishes the programme, they've had more hands-on business experience than most MBA graduates twice their age. The numbers say it too over ₹2,00,000 in revenue generated across operations, by students, from scratch.
Building Something That Actually Matters
SABZEE's impact hasn't stayed within the campus either. The initiative earned second place at the International Case Study Competition at ICBM School of Excellence, Hyderabad and received recognition at the International Conference at KLE Technology Institute, Bangalore. But what moves people most about SABZEE isn't the trophies it's the heart behind it. During Rakhi Fest, students design and sell eco-friendly Rakhis. They donate fresh produce to orphanages. They spend Diwali with underprivileged children not for a photo, but because SABZEE genuinely believes that empathy and social responsibility are just as important as balance sheets.
What SABZEE Really Changes in You
Ask anyone who's been through SABZEE and they'll tell you the same thing it changes how you think. You stop seeing business as something abstract that happens in boardrooms and start seeing it as a deeply human set of decisions that affect real people's lives. You get comfortable with uncertainty. You learn to stretch limited resources further than you thought possible. You learn what it truly means to deliver value standing in front of a customer with a bag of fresh vegetables and the quiet confidence of someone who figured it out themselves.
SABZEE isn't just preparing students for the business world. It's preparing them to make that world a little better.
Want to learn business by actually doing it? SABZEE might be exactly what you've been looking for.
