Biography

Srinivasa Reddy Mainampati received a Master of Science (Physics) from Osmania University, Hyderabad in 2000, M.Phil (Physics) from Hyderabad Central University in 2002, and a Ph.D in Physics from Osmania University, Hyderabad in 2015. His initial academic appointment as an Assistant Professor was at Guru Nanak Engineering College, Hyderabad in 2002. He moved to the Sphoorthy Engineering College in 2004. From 2004 to 2012, he served as Controller of Examinations and Head department of Humanities and Sciences. In 2012, he joined the Department of H&S at Anurag Group of Institutions as an Assistant Professor and promoted as an Associate Professor in 2015. From 2015, he has been succeeding as Head & BOS Department of Physics. He honored with “Dr.T.S Narasimha Murthy and Dr.P.G Puranik Memorial Gold Medal (s)” for securing highest marks in M.Sc Physics from Nizam College, Osmania University in 2000. He was recipient of “Best Teaching Faculty Award-2008” declared by Sphoorthy Engineering College, Hyderabad. He is a life member of Indian Science Congress.

Antimicrobial and Photocatalytic properties of Metal Oxide nanoparticles
Ultrasound in food processing and harvesting technology
Synthesis, thermal, optical, mechanical and radiation-attenuation characteristics of borate glass system
Optoelectronic materials
Quantum Computing

Teaching Interests

Mainampati has taught graduate classes in Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, Solid State Physics and Electronic Devices and Circuits. He has expertise in establishing engineering Physics laboratories at various levels of courses.
