Anurag University Celebrates 3rd Annual Convocation, Awards Degrees to 2,789 Graduates

Anurag University successfully conducted its 3rd Annual Convocation, marking a significant academic milestone as 2,789 students graduated across diverse disciplines. The graduating class included 2,193 B.Tech students, 44 Ph.D. scholars, along with graduates from MBA (155), MCA (90), B.Pharm (88), BBA (74), and several postgraduate and doctoral programmes in technology, pharmacy, agriculture, and management. The university also conferred the prestigious Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) upon renowned innovator Sri Chintakindi Mallesham for his exceptional contribution to the handloom industry through the invention of the Laxmi Asu Machine.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Chairman of Anurag University and BRS MLA, emphasized the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence, stating that while AI will transform industries, professionals equipped with AI skills will shape the future. He highlighted the university's pioneering role in introducing B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence as the first institution in Telangana nearly eight years ago and reaffirmed its commitment to embedding AI across academics, research, faculty development, and campus initiatives. The event also featured an inspiring address by Mr. Goutham Reddy, Chairman of CII and Executive Director of Re Sustainability Ltd., who encouraged graduates to uphold the true spirit of engineering in addressing real-world challenges.
The convocation served as a celebration of academic excellence, innovation, and the aspirations of a new generation of graduates ready to make meaningful contributions across industries and society.
