Civil Engineering Faculty Publishes Research on Sustainable Soil and Watershed Management

Dr. Padala Raja Shekar, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Anurag University, has successfully published a research paper titled “Geospatial and XGBoost-based sub-watershed prioritization for sustainable soil and watershed management.” The study focuses on applying geospatial techniques and machine learning to support effective watershed prioritization and sustainable soil and water resource management.
The research has been published in Discover Environment, a journal indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (ESCI), with an H-Index of 14 and Q1 quartile. The work highlights the application of data-driven approaches to address environmental and watershed management challenges.
