AI Faculty Awarded Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering

Anurag University proudly congratulates Ms. Anasua Banerjee, faculty member in the Department of Artificial Intelligence, on being awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering by the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Her doctoral thesis, titled "Advancing Transformer-Based Neural Machine Translation Through Data Augmentation and Context-Aware Modeling," reflects significant research contributions in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. The research was carried out under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Binodh Kumar Singh and Dr. Vinay Kumar (IIIT Naya Raipur).
The research focuses on enhancing Transformer-based Neural Machine Translation by integrating advanced data augmentation techniques with context-aware modeling approaches. These innovations aim to improve translation quality, contextual understanding, and model robustness across multilingual environments. The work contributes to the advancement of intelligent language technologies, supporting applications such as multilingual communication, digital accessibility, conversational AI, and cross-lingual information processing, which continue to gain importance in today's AI-driven world.
