Dr. Poli Lokeshwara Reddy & Dr. V. Vinay Kumar Publish Rice Leaf Disease Paper

Anurag University proudly recognises the collaborative research achievement of Dr. Poli Lokeshwara Reddy and Dr. V. Vinay Kumar, Assistant Professors in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, on the publication of their paper 'ERROA: Enhanced Remora Rider Optimization Algorithm-based AlexNet for Rice Leaf Disease Classification' in the Journal of Plant Protection Research, a Q3 journal indexed in Web of Science (ESCI) with an H-index of 38. Rice is a staple crop for much of the world, and early, accurate detection of leaf diseases is vital for protecting yields and ensuring food security.
The authors combine an enhanced optimization algorithm with a deep learning architecture (AlexNet) to classify rice leaf diseases more effectively, offering a smart, technology-driven aid for agriculture. Such AI-powered solutions can help farmers and agronomists identify problems early and respond appropriately, reducing crop loss. This research reflects Anurag University's commitment to applying engineering and artificial intelligence to real-world challenges, including those in agriculture and sustainability.
The university congratulates Dr. Lokeshwara Reddy and Dr. Vinay Kumar on this meaningful contribution and celebrates the way their work demonstrates the practical, far-reaching impact of intelligent computing on everyday life and livelihoods.
