Mechanical & ECE Faculty Win Best Paper Award at ICAMDM-2025
Anurag University proudly celebrates a notable research recognition for its faculty: Dr. K. Srinivasa Chalapathi, Dr. Saritha, and Dr. A. Muni Tanuja from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, together with Dr. Aparna Priya from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, who won the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Advances in Materials, Design and Manufacturing (ICAMDM-2025), organised by SRM University, AP.
Their paper applied a Gradient Boosting machine learning algorithm to predict and optimise the wear behaviour of Al7075-TiC hybrid composites, materials valued for their strength and wear resistance in demanding engineering applications. By bringing machine learning into materials science, the team demonstrated how data-driven methods can enhance the design and performance prediction of advanced composites, a forward-looking, interdisciplinary approach. Earning a Best Paper Award at an international conference is a significant honour, reflecting the originality, quality, and relevance of the work as judged against strong competition.
This achievement showcases Anurag University's strength in collaborative, cross-departmental research that blends traditional engineering with modern computational techniques. The university congratulates all four faculty members on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates their contribution to advancing research and innovation in materials and manufacturing.
