Civil Engineering Faculty Secures Research Grant from Department of Science & Technology

Anurag University is proud to announce that Prof. K. K. Ramanjaneyulu from the Department of Civil Engineering has been awarded a prestigious research grant of ₹47.82 lakh by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The project, undertaken jointly with the CSIR–Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC), Chennai, is titled "Composite Girders with Corrugated Steel Web for Efficient and Economical Construction of Bridges." This collaborative initiative reflects the university's growing engagement in nationally significant research addressing critical infrastructure challenges.
The proposed research focuses on developing innovative bridge girder systems that incorporate corrugated steel webs to enhance structural efficiency while reducing construction costs. By exploring advanced design methodologies and engineering solutions, the project aims to improve the durability, performance, and sustainability of bridge infrastructure. The collaboration with CSIR-SERC, one of India's premier structural engineering research institutions, further strengthens the scientific and practical relevance of the study and provides opportunities for impactful knowledge exchange.
Securing competitive funding from the Department of Science & Technology is a strong recognition of both the quality of the proposed research and its potential to address real-world engineering needs. This milestone reinforces the Department of Civil Engineering's growing research capabilities and highlights Anurag University's commitment to advancing innovation through collaborative projects that contribute to national development, sustainable infrastructure, and technological excellence.
