Dr. Medikonda Asha Kiran Publishes Spoof Classification Research

Anurag University is proud to recognise the scholarly achievement of Dr. Medikonda Asha Kiran, Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, on the publication of the research paper 'Novel WaveELU for Spoof Classification in ASV System Using Fusion Features.' The work appears in the SCIE-indexed, Q2 journal Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, which carries an Impact Factor of 2.0 (DOI: 10.1007/s00034-025-03428-8).
The research advances the frontiers of signal processing, biometric security, and AI-driven spoof detection, areas of growing importance as voice-based authentication becomes increasingly common. Automatic Speaker Verification (ASV) systems are vulnerable to spoofing attacks, where malicious actors attempt to impersonate legitimate users; developing robust methods to classify and detect such spoofing is therefore critical to securing these systems. By introducing a novel approach using fusion features, Dr. Asha Kiran's work contributes meaningfully to strengthening biometric security. Publication in a reputed SCIE-indexed journal reflects the technical merit and relevance of the research.
This achievement reinforces Anurag University's commitment to high-impact research and innovation. The university congratulates Dr. Asha Kiran on this impactful contribution and celebrates the dedication to empowering research excellence that this work represents.
