Mechanical Engineering Faculty and Students Receive Indian Patent Grant

Neeraja, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, along with student innovators KGSR Prajwal, Putta Bhavani, and Yadati Sudeep, on the successful grant of an Indian Patent for their innovative invention titled "Fabrication of Automatic Exoskeleton Chair." The patent has been granted by the Government of India – Intellectual Property India, recognizing the team's contribution to engineering innovation and assistive technology.
The patented exoskeleton chair is designed to enhance mobility support and improve user comfort through intelligent mechanical design. This achievement reflects the team's commitment to developing practical, technology-driven solutions that address real-world challenges while advancing innovation in the field of mechanical engineering.
With Patent No. 597171, filed under Application No. 202441071450 on 21 September 2024 and officially granted on 29 July 2026, the invention adds another milestone to Anurag University's growing portfolio of research and intellectual property.
