Biography
Ravikanth Raju has received Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Machine Design) from University College, JNTU Kakinada in 2003 and Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from JNT University Hyderabad in 2015. His initial academic appointment was at Bandari Srinivas Institute of Technology, Hyderabad in 2004. He served as the Head of the Department for two academic years in BSIT, Hyderabad, before he moved to JBIET. He was in JBIET during the period 2007-2013 as Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He was a member in Board of Studies during the period 2009 -2013. From 2013 to 2015 he served as Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in MRCET, Hyderabad. After getting his Doctoral Degree he moved to Anurag Group of Institutions as Associate Professor and served as Board of Studies Chairman from 2015-2017. He is Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) since 2009. He has published more than 60 papers in various reputed National & International Journals and attended various National & International conferences, FDP’s and workshops.
Research Interests
Ravikanth Raju’s research interests revolve around material characterization of composite materials. His research on Forced Vibration Analysis of Different Viscoelastic Beams was funded by IFHE, Hyderabad which is under progress. He is also doing Investigation on Mechanical and Machinability Properties of Particle Reinforced Al-Metal Matrix Composite Subjected to Various Strengthening Process in support by JNTUH, Hyderabad under Collaborative Research Scheme, TEQUIP-III. His other interested areas are:

Teaching Interests
Raju has taught undergraduate classes in Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, Mechanics of Solids, Machine Drawing, Design of Machine Members – I, Design of Machine Members – II and Finite Element Methods. He taught postgraduate classes in Mechanical Behavior of Engineering Materials, Advanced CAD and Experimental Stress Analysis.
