Dr. Gummadi Venkata Rao is working as Professor in the Department Civil Engineering, Anurag University, Hyderabad. He finished his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh India. Prior to joining Anurag University, he worked as a Professor at Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology for about 4 years from September 2017 to August 2021 and Before joining VIIT, He had 8.5 years’ Experience as a Professor at GMR Institute of Information Technology, Rajam, Srikakulam during a period of May 2009 to September 2017. He also worked as a Professor at Gokul Institute of information Technology, Bobbili, Vizianagaram during a period of May 2008 to May 2009.

He worked as an Assistant Professor at Chaitanya Engineering college, Visakhapatnam from November 2006 to February 2008.He is also worked at Andhra University as teaching assistant from June 2006 to November 2006 and also worked at Government Polytechnic Visakhapatnam as a part time lecturer from December 1999 to September 2001.

Dr. Gummadi Venkata Rao worked as junior research fellow in Andhra University, Visakhapatnam from September 2001 to September 2003 and he worked as a head of the department of Civil Engineering and chairman board of studies at GMR Institute of Information Technology for 4 years and also HOD & chairman board of at Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology for 2 years and he is also worked as Vice principal at Gokul Institute of information Technology for 1 year.

He supervised twelve Master degree Thesis and 25 Under graduate Projects. He was a member of various professional society such as Institute of Engineers (IEI) and Associate member at Andhra Pradesh Academe of Science (APAS)
Dr. Gummadi Venkata Rao has organized AICTE Sponsor, two weeks Faculty Development program(FDP) on “coastal zone problems and their remedies” in the year2010. He has also attended more than 20 STTPs/FDPs/Workshops at different places. He is also attended and presented morethan 20 national and international conferences. He delivered Invited talks at International conference on “Civil and Architectural Engineering, held during April 14-15, 2016, organized by International Academy of Science, technology, engineering and Management, at Sydney, Australia and International conference on “Environmental Systems Research” (ICESR 2014) During December 13-14, 2014 organized by Chemical, Biological, Environmental, Engineering Society KualaLumpur, Malaysia.

2. Title of the project “Ground Water Modeling for Hydro geological characterization of hazardous substance release sites – A case study of Pydibhimavaram Industrial area,Srikakulam, A.P.” funding agency DST, Duration of the project is 3 years from 14/06/2013 to 14/06/2016 and sponsored amount is Rs. 23,21,370/-No. DST/TM/WTI/2K12/81 (G), Government of India.
3.
