Biography

Dr. Jeshma Kovvuri received a Bachelor degree (B.Sc.) from the Kakatiya University, Warangal (2010), a Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, (2012), and her Ph.D. from CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad in 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Kamal and C. G Ganesh Kumar, in the Division of Organic and Medicinal Chemistry. After working as an Assistant Professor at Vardhaman College of Engineering (Autonomous institution) for three years (2019-2022), she was appointed to the Department of Chemistry at Anurag University in 2022 as an Assistant Professor. She has good a number of publications in international peer reviewed journals, Participated in 11 FDP’s, 14 National and International conferences. She has also given 2 poster presentations and 1 oral presentation in conferences. She is a life member of CCN (ID. 60932221) and reviewer for Advanced Journal of Cancer Biology and Reviewer of Advanced Journal of Chemical Biology & Biologics.

Research Interests

Multi-disciplinary research programmes including organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry and photocatalysis. Design and synthesis of target-based new anticancer and antimicrobial agents, and their biological evaluation.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Jeshma Kovvuri has taught Applied, Engineering, Advanced Engineering and Materials Chemistry to Engineering students.
