B-Tech in Chemical Engineering

Overview

The Chemical Engineering program at Anurag University is a four-year undergraduate program that prepares students for careers in the chemical industry. The program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers all aspects of chemical engineering, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, chemical reaction engineering, process design, and environmental engineering.

Outcome Based Education

1. Apply knowledge of advanced mathematics, physical sciences, and engineering principles to practical problems in their respective professions.
2. Design innovative processes and equipment suitable to the contemporary needs of the chemical industry
3. Promote the qualities of leadership and employability and be able to to work in multidisciplinary teams supported by continuous Industry – Institution interaction.

Honours & Minors

About B. Tech. (Honors/Minor)

AICTE in its ‘Model Curriculum – 2018’ for UG Program in Engineering & Technology has recommended that a student will be eligible to get an undergraduate degree with ‘Honors’ or ‘Minor Engineering’ if he/she completes and acquires an additional 18-20 credits. AU gives its students the opportunity to get a degree in B. Tech. (Hons.) or B.Tech. (Minor Engg.), by earning 18 additional credits of professional courses. These additional credit courses shall not be part of the regular curriculum

Eligibility

  • B. Tech. (Hons./Minor Engg.) degree is open to all current Engineering /Technology undergraduates who have taken admission on or after the academic year 2022 – 23
  • A B. Tech. (Reg.) student should secure a CGPA of at least 7.5 by the end of 2nd sem without any backlogs.
  • A B. Tech. (LES) student should secure a SGPA of at least 7.5 in the 3rd sem without any backlogs.
  • Students securing ‘F’ grade in any previous semester(s) are not eligible for registration.
