International Hands-On FDP On AI & LLM
Overview
International Faculty Development Programme (FDP), conducted from 23rd to 28th June 2025, supported by NVIDIA, and collaborated with international forums, aimed to upskill educators and researchers in the interdisciplinary areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing, with an emphasis on their practical applications in emerging domains such as healthcare, finance, and social systems. Through expert-led sessions, the program delved into advanced topics, including deep learning frameworks, ethical and explainable AI, machine unlearning, research gap in speech translation, LLM application building with prompt engineering, the role of generative models in enhancing educational and industrial solutions, and detailed pipelined of commercial LLM based Chatbot , as well as improving academic writing for top-tier publication forums. Participants gained insights into ongoing global research trends and future directions. A notable highlight was the pre-release demonstration of MMM-Fair, a fairness-aware machine learning framework from Germany designed to support high-stakes AI decision-making under competing fairness and accuracy constraints. The program provided a balanced mix of theoretical understanding and hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and technologies shaping the future of intelligent systems.
Additionally, participants received exposure to advanced hardware platforms through sessions supported by NVIDIA, which also provided GPU access, training, and performance-based certification. We gratefully acknowledge NVIDIA and different countries (i.e. Dubai, Germany, Singapore, etc) experts for their valuable contributions to the success of the FDP.
Outcome(s) of the FDP
- Enhanced understanding of advanced AI/ML and NLP concepts with real-world applications.
- Hands-on exposure to modern tools and technologies such for LLM application building, machine unlearning, speech to speech translation, Ethical AI, and writing paper for top tier journals and conferences.
- Skill development for designing ethically responsible and explainable AI systems.
- NVDIA certification for building LLM applications.
- Networking opportunities with international leading researchers, professors, and industry experts for future collaborations.
