National Cadet Corps (NCC)

History

  • After independence, the present day NCC formally came into existence on 15 July 1948 through XXXI Act of Parliament.
  • The Girls Division of the NCC was raised in July 1949.
  • On 01 April 1950, Air Wing was raised, with one Air squadron each at Bombay and Kolkata.
  • The Naval Wing of the NCC was raised in July 1952, thus representing all three services in the Corps.

AIM & Objectives Of NCC

  • The aims of NCC are mainly three-fold:-
    (a) To develop following qualities in the cadets:-
    (i) Character.
    (ii) Comradeship.
    (iii) Discipline.
    (iv) Secular Outlook.
    (v) Spirit of Adventure.
    (vi) Ideals of selfless service.
    (b) To create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life who will serve the nation regardless of which career they choose.
    (c) To provide an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to choose the Armed Forces as a career.
  • Some of the objectives of the NCC are:-
    (a) Train volunteer youth to become confident, committed and competent leaders in all walks of life.
    (b) Provide opportunities and encourage cadets to enrich their knowledge, develop communication skills and build character.
    (c) Conduct social activities and community development programmes, to make constructive contributions toward society.
    (d) Undertake adventure activities to hone leadership qualities and risk-taking abilities.
    (e) Conduct military training to develop awareness about Armed Forces, leadership skills and military values thus, provide an environment to motivate cadets to join the Armed Forces.

NCC in Anurag

NCC Unit of 2(T)Air Sqn(Tech) NCC for SD(Senior Division) / SW(Senior Wing) started at Anurag University in the year-2020 with a total strength of 100 cadets spread over three years. NCC Unit offers ‘B’ (2years) and ‘C’ (1year) certificates for (SD/SW) cadets.

Cadets also undergo basic Training such as Drills, Weapon Trainings, Air Craft Technical Training; Youth exchange programs and Social Service Activities. Outside University NCC cadets actively participate in various camps such as National Integration Camp (NIC), Adventure Camps, Army Attachment Camp (AAC), Air force Attachment Camp (AAC), Trekking camp(TC), Combined Annual training Camp(CATC), Leadership Camp (LC) and Republic Day Camp (RDC).

RD Camp

The cadets of Anurag University from 2 (T) Air Sqn (Tech) NCC, Cadet Warrant Officer Vaishnavi Tadikonda and cadet Sergeant Ushaswini Ananthula represented Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Dte at the Republic Day Parade 2023. RDC is a tale of sheer commitment with utmost conviction, proof of talent paired with toiling all the way to glory.
Republic day camp held at the Directorate General, National Cadet Corps Headquarters, New Delhi was a golden opportunity for the cadets to proudly represent their directorate in front of the highest dignitaries of our nation. Be it the drill or the elaborated cultural heritage. We were given a golden opportunity to meet the H'ble President, Prime minister, COAS, CNS, CAS, CDS, Defence minister and many such dignitaries.

SSB Training Camp - 2023

SSB camp 2023 gave us the practical flow of the actual SSB INTERVIEW which allows to to directly get intlo armed forces.
C/SGT USHASWINI AND C/CPL NIVAS got selected for SSB TRAINING CAMP 2023 which was held in SECUNDRABAD.

Advanced Leadership Camp (ALC-II)-2023

V. Shivanand, cadet of Anurag University from 2(T) AIR SQN. TECH NCC has represented AP&T DTE. At Advanced Leadership Camp (ALC-II) which was conducted at Police City Training Centre (CTC), Jankampet, Nizamabad from 06-07-2023 to 17-07-2023.

AIR FORCE ATTACHMENT CAMP-1 2023

UNIVERSITY from 2 T AIR SQN(TECH) NCC have attended and represented AP&T DTE at the AIRFORCE ATTACHMENT CAMP-1 2023 from 19th June 2023 to 2nd July 2023 which was held at AIRFORCE ACADEMY, DUNDIGAL.
It was highly motivated camp to join the Indian Airforce and the experience and various visits to the AIRFORCE STATIONS(BEGUMPET,HAKIMPET) helped me to understand the life of a Flight Cadet.

ALL INDIA VAYU SAINIK CAMP-22

C/SGT K ASHRITHA of AIML-B 3rd year bearing the hall ticket no:21EG107B48 got selected and attended ALL INDIA VAYU SAINIK CAMP-22 held at Jodhpur , Rajasthan.I represented AP&T DTE in flying exam and got an opportunity to fly the microlite aircraft VIRUS SW-80 at Air Force Station,Jodhpur.
She was the SW camp senior of ATC-VI held at Bison training grounds, secunderabad from 4th oct to 13 th October and also won a gold medal in 400 metres running.
CWO A. RAVI TEJA, got selected for the ALL INDIA VAYU SAINIK CAMP [AIVSC-2022] which was held in Jodhpur, Rajasthan from 25th September to 5th November, 2022.
He got selected for various events where he represented Andhra Pradesh and Telangana directorate such as Skeet shooting, tent pitching, drill, flag area and flying exam.
I bagged ALL INDIA "BRONZE MEDAL" in SKEET SHOOTING competition

SW Best cadet

C/Sgt Vaishnavi Tadikonda, selected for "ALL INDIA AIRFORCE ATTACHMENT CAMP" (third best camp in Air wing NCC) which was conducted in Airforce academy, Dundigal She is also selected for Pre republic day camp as "SW Best cadet, Airforce wing" due to her exemplary performance in the Inter group competition - Republic day camp (IGC RDC)

ALL INDIA VAYU SAINIK CAMP-2023-silver medal

LFC D ROOPESH REDDY represented AP&T DTE in the ALL INDIA VAYU SAINIK CAMP-2023 which was held at AIR FORCE STATION JALAHALLI , BANGLORE from 23rd September 23 to 4th October 23.He secured a silver medal in health and hygiene exam in IGC-VSC and represented AP&T DTE in flying exam and got an opportunity to fly the ZEN AIR aircraft.

Inter group Competition of RDC-23

LFC D ROOPESH REDDY and CADET KALYANI have got selected and attended the INTER GROUP COMPETITION of RDC-23 held at Mehdipatnam mil garrison from 27 Oct to 4 Nov 23 .They further got selected for PRE-RDC 1
