About the Department
Neelima School and College of Nursing was established in the year 2022. The Nursing School offers General Nursing and Midwifery Diploma of three years; and Nursing College offers BSc Nursing degree of four years duration respectively.
Neelima School and College of Nursing, a privileged institution is committed to become a centre of excellence for not just nursing education of students admitted to the program but overall growth and development of students’ personality with right and perfect blend of knowledge, skill and attitude with the state of art infrastructure facilities, and well-equipped laboratories to enrich the students and mould them into caring professionals. Vision
To educate and prepare nurses and midwives for generalist nursing including midwifery practice with main focus on holistic care and mastery of competencies. Competencies that reflect practice standards of the Nursing Profession addressing the areas of cultural diversity, communication technology, teamwork and collaboration, safety, quality, therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practice.
Mission
1. Develop knowledgeable competent nurses and midwives with clear critical thinking skills who are caring, motivated, assertive and well-disciplined responding to the changing needs of profession, healthcare delivery system and society
2. Prepare them to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative healthcare services in any healthcare setting
3. Nurture nurses and midwives who can make independent decisions in nursing situations within the scope of practice, protect the rights of individuals and groups and conduct research in the areas of nursing practice and apply evidence-based practice
4. Groom them to assume role of practitioner, teacher, supervisor and manager in all healthcare settings
