The Institution of Engineers (India) is the national organization of engineers in India. The Institution of Engineers (India) has more than one million members in 15 engineering disciplines in 125 centers or chapters in India and overseas; it is the world’s largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional society in the engineering and technology world. The Institution of Engineers (India) was established in 1920 in Kolkata, West Bengal, and is acclaimed to have pioneered non-formal education in engineering.
Society of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers (SMAE)
Society of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers (SMAE) challenges the undergraduate and diploma engineers to research and develop innovative projects, inspires them to imagine, as imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world. Activities organized by “SMAE” give students a chance to form teams and to work for a common goal with a team spirit and to showcase and prove both their creativity and their engineering skills in comparison to the teams from other Universities/Colleges across the country.
The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE)
The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE today has more than HVAC&R professionals and Student-members. ISHRAE operates from 44 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with HQ in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who are members of the Society, working on a voluntary basis, and collectively called the Board of Governors.
